"Sponges in temperate regions live for at most a few years, but some tropical species and perhaps some deep-ocean ones may live for 200 years or more. I purchased this deep-ocean sponge 148 odd years ago and it is still going strong. Bear in mind that reduced atmospheric pressures mean that this sponge will increase up to 18 times its size on land, making it hard to clean wine glasses and teat pipettes. It is a good idea to store it at the bottom of an ocean some several fathoms deep when not in use - this will reduce the risk of the naturally occurring “Magic Jetz” backfiring."

"I know this will sound melodramatic, but I’ve been looking for a good sugar cookie recipe my whole life. I had accepted the fact that I would never find it when I tried this recipe."
